Privacy Policy

Formfix is built so that it does not need to know who you are. There are no accounts and no login.

The text you paste

  • As you type, paste or edit, your text is sent to our server over an encrypted connection, checked against the portal’s rules, and the result is sent back. This happens automatically, a moment after you stop typing.
  • Opening a page sends nothing. A template stays in your browser until you change it.
  • We do not store your text. We do not write it to logs. Once the result is returned, we no longer have it.

Even so, please avoid pasting details you do not need to, such as a full Aadhaar number or bank account number, unless the portal’s form itself requires them.

What is processed automatically

  • IP address. Used to limit how many checks one connection can run per minute, and passed to the bot check below. We do not keep a record of it.
  • Bot check. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm a request comes from a person. Turnstile runs when your text is first checked, and again every few minutes while you keep editing. It is governed by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

Storage on your device

We save one thing in your browser: your choice of light or dark theme. It never leaves your device. We do not set tracking cookies.

Advertising and analytics

Formfix does not show ads or use analytics at present. If that changes, this page will be updated before it does.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask what personal data an organisation holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, and raise a grievance. Because Formfix does not store your text or keep a record of who used it, there is normally nothing held about you. If you have a question or a complaint about your data, write to hello@formfix.in and we will reply.

Children

Formfix is meant for adults filing their own grievances and applications. It is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
